With Book 12 just released, Turbine has given up some information about Book 13. Book 13 is scheduled for a spring release and will feature a new landmass, although it was not stated what this new landmass would be. It will also feature a fishing system, so those of you who have been wishing for this feature will soon get a chance to put it to use. Book 13 will also include various tweaks to the Barber Shop, a new interface for looking for fellowship as well as an online leaderboard.

Lord of the Rings Online’s Book 12 update is out, and Book 13 should be ready by sometime this spring. We sat down with Turbine to see what’s going on with the game, and they promised a significant slice of information will be revealed at Codemasters’ upcoming Online Connect 2008 event in Birmingham, England this March. Aside from that, we were told Book 13 will include a new explorable landmass and a fishing system. Turbine also hinted at further tweaks to their barber shop interface, a refined looking for group system, and some kind of online leaderboards to reinforce the game’s sense of community.

With the addition of a fishing system and a new landmass, Book 13 is sure to be a great update for The Lord of the Rings Online. More information regarding Book 13 will come from Connect 2008.
