Gaming news site ‘videogaming247′ has posted the rumor that the new LotR game in development by Pandemic will indeed be modelled after Battlefront, something we picked up earlier this year. So while there is nothing much new on the horizon there, this part may be of interest.

“(…)Likelihood of EA making a song and dance about this at E3: high.”

Seeing the fact this is an old rumor, I would have to say that it is very likely that videogaming247 has an inside source that confirmed this to them. E3 2008 will be held from the 15th to the 17th of July this year, and is only open to a select public including press and game developers.

If this article were to be true, more details as well as a title about this game would be announced before or during E3 2008.
