Gametrailers TV has just aired her episode of this week, featuring Conquest in detail! Loads of new footage and interviews with a few of the key members of the Conquest developement team are featured throughout the episode.
Don’t want to watch? Here are the major new info pieces we found!
The Battle of the Last Alliance is included
You can play as a Nazgul and kill Frodo (SP Campaign)
Hugo Weaving (Elrond from the movies) is narrating both campaigns
Trolls work like vehicles, your character ‘dissapears’ as you take control of an idle troll
The Evil campaign is unlocked AFTER the Good campaign, and is a lot more challenging
The Evil campaign starts at Mount Doom while the battle at the Black Gate is taking place (and Frodo is climbing Mt. Doom)
You get to take out the entire fellowship and other heroes as an Evil player
Mumakil kill moves!
Play as both Uruk-Hai, and Orcs
Only one player in Multiplayer can play as a Hero. Server settings determine if it’s the weakest or strongest player etc. who gets to play as a Hero.
Evil heroes include Sauron, the Balrog, Ringwraiths and the Witch-King.
Sauron can only be taken down in multiplayer by other Heroes
HMMcKamikaze:
As you can see by what EA has done, the lore itself has been disregarded when convenient. This isn't a game for the hardcore fans as much as it is an opportunity to use an already established mythology to create a game franchise.
_Freek:
I guess so :( Playability goes before canon I guess.
Also the trailer is now up in SD quality on our front-page :)
Teregond:
I hope Gandalf use's his Sword as well as his Staff because i see in the video he is only wielding a staff :S
_Freek:
We still dont know a lot about combat, but it would be likely that the game would feature primary/secondary weapons for each class, maybe also for the heroes.
zach:
Yea, dont worry yet. We know very little about how the game actually plays!
