On May 24, Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro will join in a chat with fans to answer their questions and comments about The Hobbit.

In an open e-mail sent to a number of different sites, Jackson writes:

“Several years ago I invited 20 questions from fans right at the start of embarking on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. For me, it was an important and enjoyable moment. Well, the time has come again. With us right on the cusp of beginning preproduction on The Hobbit, and its companion movie, it seems fitting to do it again.”

The one-hour internet chat will be hosted on 1 p.m. PST on May 24.You can register for the event over at Weta Limited.

Peter Jackson was the director from the Lord of the Rings trilogy films we all know. For the Hobbit he is the executive producer, while Del Toro will be director for the two prequel films.
