Are we going to get the chance to see these astounding Elves; Glorfindel, Elladan and Elrohil in The Hobbit now that the castings call for actors to be Elves is on-going?
If we dont see these Elves in The Hobbit, who are most known to all Tolkien fans, then why PJ spend time and effort to invent a female woodland Elf instead? Your opinion? . ![]() "I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and if by life or death I can save you, I will."

I would like to see Elrond, the Elvevking and maybe a brief Legolas cameo and that would about do it.

I believe The Elvenking is a sure bet, and Legolas doing a cameo makes sense. The Elves that I'm hoping for to make an appearance is Glorfindel, and the Twins.

Yeah, I don't really think Elladan and Elrohir make sense either.
Im good with the essentials. Elrond and Thranduil. Anyone else is just extra. Just a theory. Last edited by Arvedui: Aug 21st, 2011 at 11:50 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

PJ introduce us Haldir in the Two Towers, who met the Fellowship in Lothlorien and leads his fellow Galadhrim in Helms Deep.
In the Hobbit (part 1 and 2), the base of operation to attack the Necromancer in Dol Guldur will be in Lothlorien, therefore we hope to see Haldir leading his fellow Galadhrim and get an extensive action sequence compare to a very short action scene in the TT. . ![]() "I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and if by life or death I can save you, I will."

Why can't we have Elladan and Elrohir in "The Hobbit"? It's not like they got to do anything in "The Lord of the Rings". They would make darned fine interesting additions to Thranduil's bodyguard in the Battle of Five Armies.
Who is to say they could not have been there? Elrond could have sent them with Glorfindel to check on Bilbo's progress. We should see Elladan, Elrohir, Glorfindel, and Legolas all standing beside Thranduil. It's not like the movies have to be faithful to the details of the story.
