Yeah, this is was not the biggest of details. It was said early in the book though, so look for it in The Children of Hurin.

well, since Stryder gave me the answer and it's been over 24 hours, guess I'll go ahead and ask away.
Tell me why after Sauron created the 7 Dwarven rings of power and given them to the dwarves did he then go around trying to reclaim them all. Also, name the affects the rings had on the dwarves. The rings had no effect on the Dwarves, in terms of corrupting them. It caused them to find many precious metals, but they also caused the Dwarves to get very greedy.
