Hi all,
I decided yesterday that I wanted to play BFME1 again, now that I have win7 and a 27" display Unfortunately, I'm experiencing random freezes, which need complete reboot of my PC. My system is a bit old (AMD64 2.7Hhz, 2gb ram, 7800GTX) but plays games fine. I run win7 32bits, and BFME1 is patched to 1.03 and has the Vista fix. I have looked everywhere, and can't find a solution. I have tried compatibility mode in both XP and Vista, Run as administrator,...still freezes. Usually happens after playing for about 10 minutes. All my other games are fine, including more recent ones. Before giving up, I wanted to check if anyone encountered the same issue or has a bright idea Thanks! Gil |

If you are not modding, didn't mention if you were, then you should contact EA.
Here is their internet support Chat: http://support.ea.com/chat You are going to have to provide your EA username though. If your registered your game then you have a user name. |

Are you sure the Windows is causing the problem? Have you tried the game before on the same system with another operating system (I'm guessing that PC didn't ship with Windows 7)

Hi Freek,
Actually I may have solved this last night. I forgot how this game is resource consuming, and since the last time I played I moved my computer in a different spot, where it gets less ventilation. Sure enough, I played last night with the case opened, and not a single crash. The 7800GTX has a tendency to get hot...should have remembered! |
