G4 has posted an interesting video interview regarding the War in thew North. the interview hits on the sheer amount of gore in the game, the story and customization of characters. Give it a watch and tell us what you think!

I think it's a sad affair when gore becomes a unique selling point for a game.

I think it's more the case of this being a mature Lord of the Rings game, which is a unique selling point. And hey, it worked for Dragon Age (sort of).
I think the last point the guy makes, about customisation, seems to suggest that your Human doesn't necessarily have to be mage character; you can shape him/her fairly extensively. I think that's just what I hoping for though.

I still think you will be a mage but with an effort maybe your melee will be good enough that you don't have to use magic??? If its at least an option that will be cool.

Yeah, I kind of get their customization idea, if it is like Champions of Norrath then it will change the mindset of a mage, for example in Champions of Norrath 2 they introduced battle mage this changed the typical caster, to one whom buffed themselves instead.
