Middle-earth Center and TheOneRing.net today announce the future merger of the two Lord of the Rings fansites. “I am very exited about this possibility, it is a huge step for us and will open our site to a massive new audience” said site administrator Freek for Middle-earth Center. TheOneRing.net and Middle-earth Center will be forming a brand new website which will merge the gaming coverage of Middle-earth Center with the much acclaimed movie/book-newsblog of TheOneRing.net. With technical details to be revealed at a later stage, site owners on both sides have stated that they want to facilitate a merger which will keep all the existing data on both sites, meaning the message boards, news archives and other content will stay intact.
The merger is set to take place at the end of the summer, so expect to see more details on this in the coming weeks and months. We here at Middle-earth Center are very exited about this new step and at the same time saddened to leave our current network, which has been so kind to keep us on the web when things were looking bleak.
