The internet has been full of rumors of who will be cast for the various roles in the upcoming Hobbit movies. One of the most odd and unexpected, has to be Daniel Radcliffe as Bilbo. Thankfully it seems like Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t want the position.
“I’d have to say, ‘Thanks but no thanks,’ not that anyone has asked me,” he said. “Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway; it’s just too close.”
Daniel Radcliffe as Bilbo would be a horrible choice for the Hobbit movie. Its not the question of his acting skills, but simply because the movies are both based off fantasy books, and the Harry Potter books even have some resemblence with the Lord of the Rings.

As said before, I probably (or definitely) would not watch The Hobbit movies if he was playing the part of Bilbo.

According to both sources "fans" on the internet. I dunno what "fans" they are talking about. I know if he was in the Hobbit movies it would come close to making me NOT want to watch it like Mithrandir, and I am quite the fan of Tolkiens work as well as PJ's adaptation.

I dunno about your guys thoughts. If i were to have a Bilbo I would want someone that looks like Elijah Wood to represent that they come from the same family. Daniel Radcliffe does bare some resemblance to Wood. However I think that Johnny Depp should play Bilbo as he is the best actor ever :P

I think it needs a lesser known actor. At least someone not in the fantasy genre.
In my opinion Johnny Deep is almost as bad as Daniel Radcliffe.

Definitely agree with the lessen known actor part, because there are a lot of them out there. I would totally love to see Clive Owen in this movie lol... dunno how he'd fit xD

I simply think he doesn't look like Bilbo. It would be really hard forcing yourself to think of Radcliffe as Bilbo after seeing Bilbo in the trilogy.
