I don't know if im gonna laugh or cry, because this is not good :/
Freek:
I think it looks awesome for the genre/audience they're intending. Just because its not for you doesn't mean its bad ;)
guilemaster:
Yeah, i wouldn't say its bad, per se, but its not really in my range. They're off by about 9ish years. It looks a LOT like a better gfx version of Ocarina of Time. If its like that at all, things are gonna be looking good for LOTR for time to come.
zach:
Well I am 19 and would prolly play it a little just cause its lotr. :P
It seems like a great way for me to get my young cousins and non-gaming friends into lotr.
Also we do know one thing: It cant be worse than Conquest ... things can only get better. :P
Samus1111111:
hopefully....
if this is worse than Conquest..... I don't think I could go on :(
Dance for the life:
Hope to try it...But after The Battle For Middle Earth, the grafic seems ouful. Like in World of War Craft...
Balin38:
It looks like it's trying to bring Lord of the Rings to a younger audience, which I really like. As a necessary condition for hitting that lower target audience, it has absolutely no appeal to me at all. So I like the principle but not the game itself. But that's fine, I'm not meant to. So long as Lord of the Rings lives on!
zach:
Yes exactly.. maybe then future lotr games may sell well seeing as this brought younger people into the market to buy the more mature games when they get a older.
guilemaster:
Oh I see your point. If they target the younger audience, then they can kind of raise a newer breed of fans to use. That's risky, but quite clever. I just hope we aren't forgotten. I'll probably end up being a sap and buying the thing anyways, just because it says Lord of the Rings all over it.
zach:
Well from the interview it is pretty apparent a RPG is coming.
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
It looks good for the target audience(as you guys said), but not something I would be interested in.
(they couldn't put in Howard Shore's amazing music from PJ?:-/)
FNFAL:
It is cheesey and laughable.
witchkingshour:
Graphics look too cartoony and the graphics look awful.. I just don't think this company takes Lord of the rings seriious.. If they did, it wouldn't look like this...
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
But you must understand that Families aren't going to blood thirsty for amazing graphics and life like replicas of the film characters. Its for young people and anyone who really doesn't know much about Lord of the Rings, so its not really a big deal to them.
I agree that it looks cartoonish but we aren't necessarily the audience it is made for. But that doesn't mean we can't play it. :P
Argetlam:
Well I guess its time for a Lotr game for the kiddies.
Stevo666:
This is going to be crap. For me, this is intended for kids of about 12-.
DEFIANTLY not for me.
