Gamedaily has reported that Intellisurvey has posted a new survey regarding the Lord of the Rings: Online and the Xbox 360! Several interesting questions were asked in the survey that really points out to the possibility that Lotr:O is coming to the Xbox 360.
Assuming that you liked the content and theme of this Lord of the Rings MMO for the Xbox 360, how likely would you be to purchase the game for $59.99, plus pay a monthly subscription of $12.99?
Just so it is clear, this survey DOES NOT confirm that Lotr:O is coming to the Xbox 360, but it shows Turbine is at least researching that possibility. Some people flat out deny that Lotr:O will be available on the Xbox 360, but we know Turbine is indeed working on a console MMO, and the facts continue to line up that Lotr:O is Turbine’s console MMO project. Also we know this MMO project came around due to the increased funding from Warner Bros. who happen to own the movie rights to Lord of the Rings.
The survey also included a short summary of the game.
Make the move to Middle-earth as you adventure from the Shire to the shadowed walls of Mordor! Fight for the Free People of Middle-earth as you battle against the forces of the Dark Lord, or serve Sauron as you seek to obtain the One Ring! Play as any of 8 races and set out on your own epic adventure within the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien.
• Wage war against other players within Middle-earth in epic player vs. player battlegrounds! Earn Destiny Points that can be used to unlock powerful rewards.
• Two Epic Stories allow you to serve the Fellowship of the Ring or the Dark Lord Sauron! More than 600 quests will mold you into an unstoppable force for good…or evil. The choice is yours.
• Explore hundreds of hours of game play in the largest virtual world ever built on console.
This description really sounds like Lotr:O for the Xbox 360 will not be a full copy of the PC version but a companion game that possibly offers a new play style.
I dont know about you but I am putting my money on Lotr:O for the Xbox 360 being announced at this year’s E3.

Freek:
No PS3 = epic fail. I have my reservations on this working on the 360 due to limited (or no) harddisk space and less space on DVDs as well as it would on a PS3. Then again, the online architecture and installbase probably make it more attractive for Turbine (+MS Moneybag tactics...)
zach:
Almost everyone has a 360. MS practically gives 20 GB's away for free now. Thats one thing I like. If my 360 does break, I almost always get something free.
blackkfox:
Lol why would people not care about this?!? It would be amazing. The only thing I could think of to complain about would be the $12 monthly charge... as if paying $60 for the game and $5 per month for XBL isn't enough.
But yeah, I'd almost have to get this if it's true. I also agree with Freek that they should make it for PS3 as well, if they're actually gonna make it.
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
Please!!! I would rejoice with incoherent waves of joy if this came to be!!!
I am a little iffy about the $13 a month thing... but I am sure it would be worth it. As long as I get one month free to try it out lol;) lol But if it did come to the 360 I would still be extremely excited.
A new LOTR game for 360
blackkfox:
Sadly, I kid.
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
Wait is LotrO lik an RPG like Final Fantasy where you just stand there and choose your attack?
zach:
well kinda. Its Not turnbased, but you do have an skill list you must chose. Its not like Oblivion. I have newver really played too many Final Fantasy, but its probably like the real time FF, forget which one(s) are. For lotr gamers its like a really really expansive real-time Third Age.
blackkfox:
Yeah, Zach's right. Basically, it's World of Warcraft, with LOTR instead of other made up crap.
That includes WoW's combat system setup. To me, the combat isn't what makes the game thought for an MMORPG.
zach:
Although LotrO focuses more on PVE and WoW focuses more on PVP.
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
Crap, so the fighting isn't like Oblivion's? I just changed my mind about it lol.
Thanks for your answers guys.:)
zach:
Well I have followed lotr:O since before a year when it was launched. When i had finally got into the Closed Beta I hated to skill based attack system. I have grown very accustomed and its now almost like you are doing it like in oblivion, but instead of clicking the mouse button 100 times I click about 35 skills. It somewhat like a strategic oblivion. Try the trial to determine if you will like the play style.
Ilaras of The Dunedain:
I shall.
zach:
3 More days til E3... hopefully we get some news on a new Lotr:O expansion and possibly the Xbox version.
guilemaster:
Can't wait for E3 man. Its in LA right? I wonder if you have to have some kind of special ticket to go... If i can, i'll go and tell you guys about it. As for LOTRO on 360, I'd love it. It'd be nice because i wouldn't have to worry about my computer laggin when im in trouble.
blackkfox:
That would be sweet to go, but sadly it's closed to the public.
You have to be employed in the gaming industry or something related to it, and on top of that a pass for the whole expo costs $500.
zach:
No you dont .... You can be a fan and get access now. E3 is back how it used to be. :)
blackkfox:
That's what I thought too Zach but I saw this on the E3 website:
zach:
Hmm... well I got some stuff in the mail regarding me going to E3... possibly through my "press" standing due to MEC? I eally dunno, lol.
