Pandemic Studios today announced that the Conquest demo has over 1 million combined downloads on both Xbox Live! Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. This is enough to catapult it past the demo for Call of Duty: World at War and Conquest now occupies the #1 spot for most downloaded demo on the Live! Marketplace.

Pandemic™ Studios, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that The Lord of the Rings: Conquest™ demo available on Xbox Live Marketplace debuted at #1, ending a nine week run held by Call of Duty: World at War. As well, the demo has catapulted beyond the 1 million download mark across the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network, marking The Lord of the Rings: Conquest as the year’s first big hit.
It seems that the mixed opinions in reviews aren’t hurting the game’s performance in the market, as we were able to report earlier that the game was doing quite well in sales.

It's actually outselling CoD 5 at Gamestop. I know that that's been out for a while, but it was outselling everything till now! Hopefully it keeps on going!

Well after what 3 months I would HOPE a new game would outsell it. :P
The sad thing is from all polls I have seen at least 2x the people are buying it for 360 over others and it didnt make it in the top 10 xbox live played games. Games which are two years old are still beating it, lol.

Well Xbox has a weekly post so we will see soon. It didnt make it on the top 10 for its first two weeks of release....
