The Lord of the Rings Conquest has had quite a bit of attention in the press recently. Videos with huge mumakil, horses trampling orcs and fellbeast swooping around. Something that doesn’t, and rarely does, get attention is the “HUD” also “Head up Display” or simply Interface. In this article, using illustrated examples taken from gameplay videos, we will cover the interface in Conquest as it looks now. This article uses screenshots from a video over at G4. You can watch it here after reading trough the guide, and you’ll see that many things start to make sense :)

In this first image, we’ve used the archer to show two important areas of the interface. As with many games, most panels and information can be found in the corners of the screen. The top-right corner shows a map, the bottom of the screen is used to display health and abilities. In this example, the archer is “locked on” to a target. In this case, we see an empty health bar along with the class (an Orc Grunt). A full health bar is represented in green. Since it is locked on, we also see a “crosshair” that allows for more accurate shots.

On the bottom-right of the screens is what can only be the skills panel. The glowing edge around these skills indicate that they can be used. Since we know what skills the archer has, it is easy to determine which skill graphic is which. The top green image is the indicator for the poison arrow ability, the bottom left is the “quick shot” which fires multiple arrows, the bottom right indicator represents the fire arrow ability.

Cheeky Hobbit:

Cheers for that Freek - really informative and helpful.

Although, I can say with considerable assurance that the skull icon with the X5 next to it is definitely your number of lives. This is because in one of the demonstrations, it goes down whenever the player was killed. It definitely isn't a coincidence in my eyes.

Freek:

It may be, the presence of a similar number in the spawn screen would seem to indicate that as well.

This would be the number of tickets in multiplayer. A limited number of "deaths" in singleplayer would make it a lot more fun and challenging as well. Otherwise you're just fighting time and you don't have to worry about dying since you'd respawn in an instance without consequence.

Sledgehammer:

I am still a bit weary about the game in general. I have a feeling it will be just a fun game to play rather than an epic challenging game. I am still reserving my full feelings on this game until I am able to play it myself.

Taartoventje:

This game is gonna be a dissapointmend for most

Cheeky Hobbit:

I think 'most' is a bit of a false claim.

Ayodon:

I think this is going to be one of the best games to come out in a long time

Teregond:

certainly for us LOTR nerds 8-)

Ayodon:

LOL

especially

I think I will have to agree with this statement. While it has been awhile since we have had a real new LOTR game. This will be one to add to the collection and try out. Who knows I might just have fun with it.

Freek:

I'll buy this either way, and although I do have a few problems with the game right now, Im not going to says its either bad or good yet. I'll reserve that opinion until after I've had a chance to play it :)

thanks..
Foreclosure home market mostly features HUD (housing and urban
development of US) properties and other bank or government owned
properties. Before taking part in a foreclosure home auction, you can
seek the assistance of realtors and work with professionals in the area
and take part in a bid. Newspapers and media publish details related
to date, time and venue of the auction before the auction so that they
are accessible to everyone. Government foreclosure auctions are governed by fair and easy process in any area.:wtf:
Foreclosed Homes>:(

Radagast:

I haven't felt this way with BFME 2, the Third Age, and many other LotR games, but I have to agree with several people here. I think this game is going to be great.

Donaldo The White:

Hmm, game does look very interesting indeed!, might bring me back to the forums :P

was disappointed with BFME2 WoTWK tbh, hoping this game really captures the essence for me ;)

Mithrandir7:

I'm a little disappointed by the fact that only a few orcs come streaming in after the gate is broken.. it seems so lame. Hopefully it will be a legit charge when the game comes out :P
