Middle Earth Center is proud to announce the introduction of Community Book Discussions. We will read a chapter of one of Tolkien’s works once a week. The following week we will discuss that chapter in depth, with topics ranging from how it turned out in the movies(lotr trilogy), how we think it will turn out in the movies(The Hobbit), and just a analysis of each chapter. We will start with The Fellowship of the Ring, on the first chapter: A Long-expected Party.

There will be a topic in Bag End for each chapter. For example the first weeks discussion will be titled: CBD – Fotr – A Long-Expected Party, which means Community Book Discussion, then the book’s title and chapter’s title.

As a note: Just because we begin a new week’s reading doesn’t mean you cant still discuss previous chapters. As long as there is someone to talk about that chapter with you, then feel free to ask questions and provide your input.
