Earlier this month, we reported that a major announcement regarding the future of LotRO, would be made at Connect 2008. Codemasters has now released their own news message:

Codemasters Online and Turbine team up with major worldwide exclusive at the forthcoming Codemasters Online Connect Event

Codemasters Online and Turbine Inc announced today that this years Connect 08 event will be the staging area for a major worldwide unveiling for The Lord of the Rings Online.

David Solari, Vice President and General Manager of Codemasters Online commented “Connect is shaping up to be a great event with some massive announcements. We’re extremely pleased Turbine has agreed to make the trip out to Europe to share the worldwide exclusive announcement we’ve lined up for The Lord of the Rings Online. Connect 2008 is a community event for all MMO’s by Codemasters, taking place in the UK on March 14th and 15th. Reps for Turbine are being flown in to make the announcement.
