We can only guess what this means for the Hobbit. Most likely though, the entire project will just be taken over by Warner Bros – so expect to see their logo on the new movies. Do note that this does NOT mean the end of New Line. It merely means that New Line will now be a division of Warner Bros, focussing on very specific genre movies – while Warner will take care of the mainstream movies.
