Entertainment site IGN has posted a feature regarding the background, and characters likely to appear in the movie adaption of the ‘The Hobbit’.  The article is not so much about (potential) actors, but rather about the characters themselves. If you haven’t read the hobbit, or just don’t recall it all that well, it should be an enjoyable read.

The Hobbit is currently scheduled for a 2010 release in Theatres, being produced by ‘Lord of the Rings’ director Peter Jackson.
